2 de julho: Bibliotecas Públicas terão programação cultural
No próximo dia 02 de Julho celebramos a Independência da Bahia. A batalha ocorrida em 1823 marcou a história e a comemoração dos 196 anos de emancipação vai contar com eventos nas unidades da Fundação Pedro Calmon (FPC/SecultBa).
São diversas atividades gratuitas em todo mês de julho.
A agenda inclui exibições de artes visuais e documentários, além das contações de histórias, oficinas, palestras e outros eventos que visam comemorar a consolidação da Independência do Brasil na Bahia.
Uma das atividade é a exposição Lutas pela Independência: O Dois de Julho, que abre as atividades da Biblioteca Central do Estado da Bahia (BCEB/Barris). A mostra destaca livros e fotos que evidenciam nomes heróicos nas lutas entre Brasil e Portugal durante todo o mês, das 8h30 às 18h.
Também tem opção para as crianças. Uma oficina de arte vai acontecer na Biblioteca Anísio Teixeira (BAT/Pelourinho), na terça-feira (09), às 14h30, onde será ensinada a construção de um catavento, símbolo que representa a comemoração da data.
Outro destaque fica por conta do documentário (PER)Cursos Patrimoniais II Cortejo Dois de Julho – Caminhos da Independência!. No qual, através do olhar do historiador Ubiratan Castro, registra a comemoração secular do festejo cívico, exibido na Biblioteca Juracy Magalhães Jr (BJMJr/Rio Vermelho) na quarta-feira (03), às 14h, e na BCEB, às 10h e 15h da terça-feira (09).
