Filmes, novelas e etc estão cheias de personagens e tramas envolvendo LGBTs em seus enredos. Isso não só no Brasil, mas no mundo, tanto que o instituto norte-americano GLAAD (Aliança de Gays e Lésbicas contra a Difamação) que, há sete anos, conduz pesquisas sobre o tema, informou que dos 110 filmes dos sete maiores estúdios de Hollywood em 2018, 20 contaram com personagens LGBT. O número é um avanço em relação a 2017 (14 de 109) em prol da representatividade.
Especialmente por aqui, afirma o ator brasileiro, Rico Marlon, não somente a mídia mainstream se rendeu à diversidade, mas também a indústria de filmes eróticos LGBT. E não apenas a produção, mas o consumo desse tipo de conteúdo cresceu.
“Veja o Netflix por exemplo, quantos filmes com temáticas ou personagens LGBTQI estão em cartaz. É nítido que as pessoas estão saindo do armário e com isso nosso não apenas o mercado de filmes mainstream, mas também o filmes pornôs já alcança os demais e em alguns casos já é mais visto até que os filmes pornô héteros”, dispara.
No final dos anos 1990, movimentos gays iniciaram uma espécie de cruzada para deixar seus nichos mais underground rumo ao lado de lá do gueto, levando questões sérias do meio LGBT, que são lésbicas, gays, bissexuais, travestis e transexuais, até mesmo ao cinema: “a tendência é ocuparmos cada vez mais espaços, o que é positivo para representar a diversidade que é o ser humano, muito além do binário”.
O Rico Marlon, bastante experiente na cena do entretenimento LGBT avalia que a internet e redes sociais ajudaram muito para este avanço:
“Basta ir a qualquer um dos sites que exibem ou comercializam este tipo de conteúdo e checar o número de visualizações. Depois compare com o pornô hétero. Nota-se um crescimento. As pessoas vem falar com a gente nas redes sociais também como consequência. Recebo muito mais cantadas e propostas indiscretas hoje do que há pouco tempo atrás, e todos comentam dos filmes. Repito, as pessoas estão mesmo saindo do armário, sendo livres”.
