Festival de Música homenageia Olodum em Salvador
O Olodum, uma das riquezas culturais nascidas em Salvador, está completando 40 anos de história. E é claro que não pode ser uma única festa de comemoração. Agora é a vez de crianças e adolescentes cantarem para uma das bandas mais coloridas da Bahia.
Depois de ter homenageado Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil e os Irmãos Macedo, a IV edição do Festival de Música InCanto agora reverencia a banda do Pelourinho. Nos dias 11 e 12 de setembro, no Colégio Integral, acontece o evento que tem como objetivo estimular o desenvolvimento e a produção musical entre as crianças e jovens.
“Desde que este festival foi lançando, observamos uma verdadeira comoção e grande entusiasmo entre alunos e familiares. O InCanto tornou-se um sucesso, com promessas de grandes descobertas em todas as séries”, disse Luiz Rocha, diretor da instituição.
O Olodum é uma das maiores bandas percussivas do Brasil, com grande sucesso internacional. Como sempre, será montada uma estrutura profissional de músicos, sonorização e iluminação com a Direção Musical de Jelber Oliveira.

OLODUM
O grupo surgiu de uma brincadeira carnavalesca em 25 de abril de 1979. O grupo ganhou sonoridades diferentes, transformou a musicalidade africana calcada na percussão e originou novos ritmos, como o Ijexá, Samba, Alujá, Reggae, Forró e se transformou numa expressão viva do samba-reggae, ritmo idealizado por Neguinho do Samba. O Olodum conquistou o mercado musical e se transformou numa das bandas percussivas de maior sucesso no Brasil e até internacionalmente.
A banda já percorreu cerca de 40 países e já encantou artistas como Michael Jackson, Linton Kesey Johnson, Paul Simon, Julian Marley, Alpha Blondy, Ziggy Marley, The Platters, Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso, Xuxa, Ivete, Cidade Negra, Caetano, Gil, Tim Maia, Jorge Ben, Elba Ramalho, Daniela Mercury e Carlinhos Brown. Conquistou títulos como de Torcida Oficial da Copa do Mundo e os percussionistas já estiveram em duas aberturas de jogos mundiais.
