Letreiro de Salvador homenageia evento da ONU sobre o clima
Um dos assuntos do momento é o impacto da ação humana no meio ambiente. Não dá pra negar. E infelizmente muitas discordâncias entre setores e a sensação de falta de conhecimento por parte dos principais responsáveis no governo brasileiro mostram que teremos tempos difíceis no futuro.
No entanto, ainda existem iniciativas globais para tentativa de conscientização, como a Semana do Clima da América Latina e Caribe 2019 (LACCW). Que está prestes a acontecer.

A Prefeitura de Salvador utilizou o letreiro de promoção turística da cidade, situado na Praça Municipal, para passar uma mensagem de conscientização e de preservação do meio ambiente.
As letras “D” e “O” da palavra Salvador foram temporariamente retiradas para formar a palavra salvar, em alusão à crise climática e a necessidade de salvar o planeta, temas que estarão em discussão no evento da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU), do dia 19 a 23 de agosto.
O letreiro, que atrai turistas e baianos para registros fotográficos, tem 17 metros de comprimento e dois de altura e foi instalado próximo ao Elevador Lacerda no final de 2013.
