Com mais de 1 bilhão de usuários ativos, o Instagram é hoje a plataforma mais popular entre todas as redes sociais. Allan Gregorio tem desenvolvido um trabalho nas redes sociais que tem chamado a atenção de artistas de destaque no universo LGBT como Pabllo Vittar e Penelopy Jean: “A classe artística tem usado as suas redes sociais para se posicionar contra o preconceito. Fico contente que em algumas dessas vezes tenham usado os meus filtros e a minha arte como complemento para ajudar a expressar o que sentem e lutar por um mundo melhor.”
O designer também aponta como a militância virtual tem tomado forma e agido em favor das minorias mobilizando milhões de pessoas para a causa: “Alguns anos atrás a gente viu o movimento #LoveWins, onde todo mundo trocou a foto de perfil para uma bandeira LGBT em apoio ao casamento para pessoas do mesmo sexo. As redes sociais tem o papel de trazer informações rápidas e isso é uma grande vantagem. No caso do movimento Black Lives Matter e da trágica morte de George Floyd, em poucos dias tivemos o maior protesto contra o racismo da história, tudo mobilizado através das redes sociais.
