UFBA sediará jornadas internacionais de teatro do oprimido
O Teatro do Oprimido mobiliza a luta em redes na Bahia. Entre os dias 06 e 11 de agosto, a UFBA sediará a sétima edição das Jornadas Internacionais de Teatro do Oprimido e Universidade (JITOU) que, neste ano, tem como tema “Redes, Luta … Ação! – Boal, Presente!”.
A sétima edição das JITOU é resultado da parceria entre o O Grupo de Estudos em Teatro do Oprimido (GESTO), o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas (PPGAC) através do grupo de pesquisa DRAMATIS/GIPE-CIT/, a Faculdade de Educação (FACED), e o Centro de Teatro do Oprimido (CTO); além de outros grupos de difusão e de multiplicação da obra do diretor e dramaturgo brasileiro Augusto Boal.

O evento acadêmico internacional é oferecido a estudantes, professores, pesquisadores, artistas e artivistas do Brasil e do exterior, o objetivo é divulgar estudos e pesquisas, intercâmbio artístico e aperfeiçoamento em práticas ativistas/pedagógicas que utilizem a metodologia do Teatro do Oprimido criada pelo brasileiro Augusto Boal.
A programação incluirá conferências, mesas, minicursos, comunicações orais, apresentações artísticas de Teatro Fórum e lançamento de livros.
As JITOU objetivam articular ações de TO em redes com vistas a difundir um panorama do vasto campo multidisciplinar do Teatro do Oprimido, proporcionando experiências estéticas/políticas e tecendo diálogos entre praticantes de Teatro do Oprimido de alguns países e de diversos estados brasileiros.
As jornadas caracterizam-se pela vasta programação artística e acadêmica, pela diversidade de olhares e de reflexões sobre experiências políticas e artísticas em torno da constituição de rede de luta tendo como metodologia o Teatro do Oprimido.
Compõem a programação dezenas de educadores, militantes e pesquisadores do país e do exterior, artistas, grupos culturais, artivistas, estudantes e professores de teatro em atividade diversificadas, como palestras, oficinas, rodas de conversa, processos estéticos e espetáculos, que acontecerão no campus de Ondina, UFBA, na ocupação Manuel Faustino (subúrbio ferroviário), e no município de São Francisco do Conde.
