Dia do Capoeirista é celebrado em bibliotecas de Salvador
A capoeira é patrimônio imaterial da humanidade. E é uma expressão cultural, e integra a programação do Projeto Cultura Popular realizado nas Bibliotecas Públicas do Estado da Bahia.
Na sexta-feira (09), às 9h, a Biblioteca Anísio Teixeira (BAT/Pelourinho) aproveita a atmosfera do centro histórico de Salvador e em parceria com o Centro Social Cultural Agô Capoeira forma uma roda de capoeira, tendo convidados o presidente do centro, Darlan Fernandez, e o Mestre Edson Campos.
Já no sábado (24), também às 9h, a Biblioteca Juracy Magalhães Jr (BJMJr/Rio Vermelho) convida o Mestre Faísca e o grupo João Pequeno de Pastinha, do Centro Esportivo de Angola (CECA), para prestar homenagem ao Dia do Capoeirista, celebrado na quarta-feira (03).

As bibliotecas públicas integram o Sistema Estadual de Bibliotecas Públicas, gerido pela Fundação Pedro Calmon/Secretaria de Cultura do Estado (FPC/SecultBA). O Sistema é composto por seis bibliotecas públicas estaduais, localizadas em Salvador e Itaparica, além da Biblioteca de Extensão e da Biblioteca Virtual Consuelo Pondé especializada na história da Bahia.
O Sistema também presta assistência técnica para mais de 450 bibliotecas municipais, comunitárias e pontos de leitura, além de cursos de capacitação para os funcionários destas unidades.
