– Como usar o Wi-Fi de forma segura?
É fundamental verificar sempre as atualizações disponíveis no site do fabricante do roteador e do dispositivo. Além disso, sempre usar uma senha forte na rede com números, caracteres especiais, além de letras maiúsculas e minúsculas e números com pelo menos 16 dígitos dificulta o acesso por pessoas não autorizadas.
– Como saber se tem algum usuário “pirata” usando o seu Wi-Fi?
No roteador Wi-Fi é possível ver os endereços IP e Mac address dos dispositivos conectados à rede. Se houver algum dispositivo desconhecido ou um número maior do que o número de dispositivos que você possui sua rede pode estar sendo usada por terceiros.
– Posicionar o roteador mais alto possível melhora o sinal
Quanto mais alto o roteador estiver posicionado, melhor o sinal do Wi-Fi, pois o funcionamento das ondas será numa espécie de efeito “guarda-chuva”.
– Outros aparelhos elétricos e espelhos prejudicam a Internet
Sim. Aparelhos que emitem ondas eletromagnéticas, como os telefones sem-fio, podem interferir na qualidade do sinal. Já os espelhos podem prejudicar a correta dispersão das ondas do roteador.
– Usar vários roteadores melhora o sinal
Pensando nessa questão de ampliação do sinal, o indicado é usar “repetidores”, que fazem o sinal chegar mais longe. Alguns fabricantes têm o roteador e o repetidor que trabalham juntos. Caso o usuário tenha mais de um roteador no mesmo local é provável que haja interferência. Por isso, não é recomendado.
