Hoje em dia, a escrita é um dos principais meios por onde as pessoas se comunicam, seja através do celular, do tablet, do computador ou mesmo do papel. E por que não utilizá-la como estratégia de incentivo à leitura e ao aperfeiçoamento de habilidades nos jovens?
Essa é a proposta da Fundação Pedro Calmon (FPC/SecultBa), por intermédio da Diretoria do Livro e da Leitura (DLL). Juntas realizam o Concurso Escritores Escolares de Poesia e Redação, que já se encontra na quinta edição.

A dirigente da DLL, Bárbara Falcón, abraça esta ideia. Para ela, a escrita é um dos fatores mais importantes de expressão humana.
“É uma coisa tão impressionante ver como esses jovens escritores conseguem transmitir suas experiências tão marcantes. A escrita ocorre de forma mais natural quando você lê”, disse.
Criado em 2014, o concurso tem o objetivo de sensibilizar e mobilizar a juventude escritora. Na última edição, em 2017, recebeu cerca de 1.200 inscrições e premiou 18 estudantes e escolas que se destacaram com número de inscritos. Para participar, basta ter matrícula ativa em uma escola pública ou privada.
