O artista já dividiu o palco com nomes consagrados como Gilberto Gil, Hermeto Pascoal, Elba Ramalho, Zélia Duncan, Geraldo Azevedo, Jorge Aragão, Gabriel O Pensador, Paula Toller, Diogo Nogueira, Elza Soares, Benito di Paula e Zeca Baleiro.
Na carreira, tem sua música fortemente relacionada aos ritmos nordestinos, principalmente o forró, no entanto no mais recente trabalho apresenta uma leitura mais pop. Este é o seu terceiro álbum, antes lançou Opinião (2014) e É tempo de viver (2017). De uma família de sanfoneiros Mestrinho tem a música e a sanfona no DNA.
O primeiro disco gravado chamou atenção de Dominguinhos, que enxergou no jovem instrumentista um verdadeiro prodígio, um discípulo daquilo que mais amava fazer: dedilhar a sanfona.
