Quem é a Geração Z no mercado de trabalho?
Independência financeira é um processo natural para todo jovem que almeja seguir seus próprios passos. Mas antes disso é preciso saber qual caminho no mercado de trabalho você deve seguir. O famoso “o que você fazer da vida?” martela na cabeça de cada um que começa a experimentar a vida adulta.

Logicamente a escolha da área profissional está diretamente ligada a quanto teremos de retorno financeiro para isso. Mas será que os jovens pensam exatamente assim? Na verdade pessoas nascidas dentro da chamada ‘Geração Z’ (com idades entre 18 e 24 anos), acreditam que o significado de sucesso profissional não é medido por um alto salário.
Para esse público, trabalhar com o que gosta (42%), equilibrar trabalho e vida pessoal (39%) e ser reconhecido pelo que faz (32%) são aspectos mais importantes que ganhar bem (31%). Ao refletirem sobre os valores e habilidades necessários a um bom profissional, esses jovens acreditam que dedicação (43%), capacidade de diálogo e trabalho em equipe (40%), foco no trabalho (36%), ser paciente (35%) e fazer sempre o melhor (31%) são diferenciais.
Considerando o uso das redes sociais, ferramentas que fazem parte da rotina desses jovens, praticamente sete em cada dez (67%) acreditam que elas podem prejudicar o rendimento no desempenho das atividades profissionais.
As informações foram levantadas em uma pesquisa conduzida pela Confederação Nacional de Dirigentes Lojistas (CNDL) e pelo Serviço de Proteção ao Crédito (SPC Brasil) em parceria com o Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas (Sebrae), que avaliou comportamento e crenças quanto a vida profissional e expectativas para o futuro desse grupo.
Geração Z no mercado de trabalho:
A Geração Z reúne os nascidos entre 1995 e 2010, que hoje têm entre nove e 24 anos – sendo que a pesquisa considerou os jovens com idades entre 18 e 24 anos. Quando o assunto é trabalho, planejam investir na profissão certa, dedicando-se a aprender e aprimorar conhecimentos, encontrar prazer e realização sem perder a qualidade de vida, ao mesmo tempo em que buscam uma vida estável, segura e saudável. No Brasil, de acordo com o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), existem cerca de 24 milhões de jovens de 18 a 24 anos, o equivalente a 15% do público maior de idade.
Casa própria e sucesso no trabalho são prioridades:
O estudo revela, ainda, que para os jovens da Geração Z a felicidade na vida adulta consiste em uma combinação de segurança, estabilidade emocional e realização profissional. Eles consideram que adquirir a casa própria (20%), ter sucesso no trabalho (18%) e trabalhar com o que gosta (18%) são algumas das prioridades para se tornarem adultos realizados. Por outro lado, encontrar um amor (9%), ter filhos (8%), falar vários idiomas (8%) e sair da casa dos pais (8%), são aspectos menos relevantes para a felicidade.
“Se para as gerações anteriores formar família e desenvolver carreira duradoura e estável em uma única empresa era primordial, a Geração Z está disposta a explorar mais as possibilidades profissionais e adiar planos de casamento e filhos, por exemplo”, observa o presidente da Confederação Nacional de Dirigentes Lojistas (CNDL), José César da Costa.
Os jovens da Geração Z temem não ter saúde física (28%), não arrumar emprego (27%), não conseguir se sustentar (25%), não trabalhar no que gostam (23%) e a corrupção no Brasil (21%). Somente 5% garantem não ter qualquer preocupação quando pensam sobre o futuro.
“Vale lembrar que esses jovens foram impactados pelas manchetes ininterruptas sobre a recessão, o desemprego, o PIB com baixo crescimento e as dificuldades do Brasil para fazer a economia engrenar nos últimos anos. Parte desses jovens teme, de certo modo, passar pelo que seus pais passaram. Outro aspecto interessante é o fato de que muitos não fazem planos de sair da casa onde nasceram, talvez por não se sentirem preparados para encarar os desafios financeiros da vida adulta. Nem sempre é fácil sustentar-se sozinho e manter o padrão de vida que os pais proporcionam, ainda mais em períodos de baixo crescimento econômico e mercado de trabalho desaquecido”, destaca Costa.
